February Event: Creating a diverse talent pipeline that encourages social mobility
Career Academies UK has partnered with the City of London Corporation and Commerzbank to host an event asking what City firms can do to increase the diversity of their talent pipeline.
At a time when more than one million young people are unemployed the government is calling for employers to open their doors to young people. This event will address improving social mobility through developing the employability skills of 16 to 19-year-olds.
It is an interactive event is for HR and CSR Managers interested in sharing ideas about how to attract and retain a workforce capable of dealing with the social and economic challenges ahead.
Career Academies UK leads and supports a movement of over 1000 employers and over 130 schools & colleges, working together to raise the aspirations of 16 to 19-year-olds. This year they are celebrating its tenth anniversary and is recognised as a charity partner for the coalition’s new Business Compact launched on 12 January 2012 (http://www.dpm.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/businesscompact).
You will have the opportunity to hear from fellow employers and students about the different ways to develop future talent in a simple and cost-effective manner. Refreshments will also be served.
