30th Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards now open for 2017!
Applications open until 24 April 2017
The Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards are back for our 30th year, rewarding excellence in community engagement. To celebrate our 30th, we are introducing two new categories: The Innovation Award and the Regional Impact Award. These Awards are recognition by both the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation that London businesses are finding new ways of achieving impact for the benefit of the community and are an asset, not only to the capital but to communities across the UK.
The Innovation Award is for companies developing new ways to benefit Greater London communities, by addressing an issue rarely supported by business, challenging the way businesses think about an issue or pioneering new ways to achieve impact.
The Regional Impact Award is for Greater London headquartered businesses that are strengthening regional communities through initiatives that both respond to local need and tie in to a strong overall community engagement strategy.
Check out the full list of our 30th anniversary categories here, where you will notice that some of our old favourites have also evolved to better reflect the work undertaken by organisations to enrich communities.
The Awards are now open for applications until 5pm, Monday 24 April 2017, so start gathering your impact statistics, inspirational quotes and endorsements. Now is the time to celebrate your impact.
The Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards are designed to recognise and reward businesses that display excellence in their approach to community engagement - addressing social issues using their influence and resources, and inspiring others to engage by showcasing examples of best practice, collaboration and innovation. Judged by the Lord Mayor and a panel of respected professionals, the Awards are a unique opportunity to showcase your London focused community programmes with clients, internal stakeholders, competitors and suppliers.
Applications are welcome from business and community groups of all sizes. Tailored feedback will be provided on all applications, providing expert advice on their programmes in preparation for future Award schemes. Plus, the icing on the cake is an invitation to the annual celebration dinner hosted by the Lord Mayor at Mansion House, providing a unique networking opportunity for all applicants.
