29th Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards are now open for applications!

Applications for the 29th Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards are open from today until 5pm on 25 April 2016. The Lord Mayor Alderman Jeffrey Mountevans said: “I am delighted to open applications for this year’s Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards, I am calling on London’s businesses of all sizes to enter.

The Lord Mayor aims to encourage, support and celebrate responsible business to change the lives of hundreds of thousands of Londoners. Last year’s entrants contributed a total of 92,818 hours of volunteering worth £6 million to London’s communities. Entrants also created 5000 work, internship and training opportunities. A total of 289,203 Londoners benefited from the work of last year’s entrants.

Applying for the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards is your opportunity to show leadership in community engagement and drive the responsible business agenda. The Lord Mayor also said:

”Responsible businesses know that by supporting their communities they are also making a priceless investment into their own workforce.
“London’s businesses should be more vocal about the positive things they are doing for community - and these awards provide an excellent opportunity to promote their good work.”
